During that visit, the two bridges that span North Thompson Creek were inspected. These
bridges provide access to the fan site south of the main surface disturbance area and to the Portal
No. i area.
It is the opinion of our office that both of these bridges are in need of maintenance We believe they
are in a state of disrepair such that the crossing of these brides by DMG employees for the
purposes of conducting inspections of these mine-related disturbances poses a personal safety
hazard. This in turn has created a situation whereby the required inspection of these mine areas by
our office has been hindered.
We therefore request that these bridges be repaired immediately to ensure public health and safety,
and to ensure that required inspections can be conducted in a thorough and safe manner. Please do
not hesitate to contact us if we may be of any assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
;/ll/~LL(,Lr~~~ ~~~w~~~
Daniel [.
