Pikeview Quarry Environmental Assessment Page 42 ' <br />correspond to the less steep slopes, have been reclaimed and the visual impacts from mining 1 <br />has been minimized (see Figure F.1 in Appendix F). <br />Because reclamation of the steepest slopes has not occurred, the scaz resulting from ' <br />prior mining operators remains a visual eyesore. The Pikeview Quarry, and in particulaz its <br />steep slopes, can be seen by the communities adjacent and east of the quarry, as well as by , <br />the users oflnterstate 25. <br />The :National Forest System lands west of the Pikeview Quarry include two plant ' <br />community types. South-facing slopes primarily aze composed of a shrub type community <br />of Gambel oak and Mountain mahogany.
