Enclosed for your review is an Environmental Assessment for the proposed enhanced
reclamation plan for the Pikeview Quarry. The Pikeview Quarry currently operates on land
owned by Castle Concrete Company. Castle Concrete is proposing to layback the topcut ofthe
disturbed area onto National Forest System land which would enable them to restore the
disturbed areas. This Environmental Assessment evaluates Castle Concrete's proposal to
layback the topcut and two other alternatives to the proposal.
After reviewing this document, please provide any additional comments you feel we need to
consider when making a decision about the proposed project. Those wishing to comment on the
