We arc furnishing you with the following list of rare species which may be present within the area of influence of your project. We believe that any action made possible by your permit that causes a depletion of water from the upper Colorado River basin should prompt n "may affect" Finding for the listed fishes and necessitate cousullnl.iou under the Endangered Species Act. 1'Ite Fisl+ attd Wildlife Service can enter into formal Section 7 consultation only with anolhcr federal agency or its designee.
