Box 509 <br />Alamosa, CO 81101 <br />Re: Civil Penalities for Files M-80-086 and M-80-156 <br />Dear Mr. Anderson: <br />On April 27, 1988 the Mined Land Reclamation Board considered your request to <br />reassess civil penalities concerning P;otices of Violation M-67-037 and <br />M-87-038 issued for mining outside the permit boundaries at these mines. The <br />Board affirmed the unsuspended civil penalities assessed during the <br />October 21, 1987 meeting in the amount of 513,500.00. In addition the Beard <br />voted to suspend 519,900.00 in civil penalities as originally assessed during <br />the Cctober 21, 1987 meeting, since the corrective action required by these <br />violations has been completed. <br />The 513,500.00 civil penalty was due to he paid on December 9, 1987. Since <br />this penalty has not been paid, you are advised to immediately pay 513,500.00 <br />to the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
