We believe we had a very
productive discussion regarding the concerns shared by all of us
about the issues of revegetation, landuse and wildlife.
We look forward to, and encourage, the joint efforts of these
two agencies to work with the industry towards realistic long term
reclamation goals rather than short term, short-sighted goals,
merely to meet only bond release criteria.
Colowyo will meet with Dan Mathews as part of the BLM
Coordinated Resource Management process to pursue the issue of
regional resource management in Axial Basin.
2) Regulation Changes - Bonding
Colowyo does not agree with the Division and believes the
issue of the Division's phased bond release structure is worthy of
further re-evaluation.
