Assistant Extension Agent <br />Terrel Johnson fran the Yampa Valley Coal Company called regarding what <br />chemicals and rates would be best to use on the following weeds: <br />1. Canada Thistle <br />2. Poison Hemlock <br />3. Hounds Tongue <br />4. Cluster Tarweed <br />5. Stick Seed or Stick Tight <br />6. Sage Brush Control <br />He 1s seeking to ccntrol these weeds on both reclaimed land fran strip <br />mining operations, and pasture range land owned by the coal mine. Cattle will <br />be grazing same of the land during the summer months. <br />I have copied pages fran the Colorado Weed Control Hand Book for him, but he <br />1s looking for additional Information on the use and cast of chemicals per <br />acre. He would also like information on the use of other chemicals other than <br />2,4-D and Barnet, such as Telar or Ally. <br />Another question 1 s, would the use of Tordon be cost effective. since they <br />would have to get licenses to use it? <br />If you could provide him with this information I would appreciate 1t.
