The incorporation of
December's data and finalizing the report should take a month. Therefore,
Seneca Coals will submit the previous year's data and analysis on February 1
of each year. Also with this first report (February 1, 1983), Seneca Coals
would like to submit the data and analysis that was specified in Permit Stipu-
lation No. 8 which dealt with monitoring the movement of total dissolved solids
from the spoils to the alluvium. Seneca Coals realizes that this report is due
December 31, 1982 but incorporation into the annual report would save a great
deal of redundancy.
The second item concerns finishing the construction of Sediment Pond #004. The
Seneca II Mine inspection reports specified that rip-rap was to be installed on
the emergency spillway by November 15, 1982. In our conversation of November 12,
1982, I explained the difficulty in which the mine vas having accomplishing this
task due to inclement weather. Completion of rip-rapping will be conducted at
the earliest possible convenience (weather permitting) but not later than Spring
1983.
Should you have any problems or questions with these requests, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Thomas J, lJAnnwr~ght
Colorado Project Manager
TJW/ss
cc: Mr. Jim Lunan, Seneca Coals
Mr. Norm Nielsen, Seneca Coals
Mr. Don Zulian, Seneca Coals
