2.O~Radon auahter Samalina <br />Routine radon daughter sampling is conducted on a monthly basis at <br />five locations in the water treatment plant and at the drum filter <br />area in the ore sorter. Radon daughter Hempling iH also conducted <br />in support of RWP activities. <br />Radon daughter resultr ere presented on the Following pages. <br />The routine December 1992 <br />(NCHEM) exceeded the 0.08 <br />was conducted for trend a <br />consistently demonstrated <br />routine sampling location <br />below the action level of <br />sample in the new chemical building <br />WL -action level end weekly monitoring <br />nalysis. The weekly monitoring <br />levels below 0.08 WL. All remaining <br />results for the reporting period Were <br />0.08 working levels. <br />One sample taken in support of RWP activities demonstrated radon <br />daughter levels in excess of the 0.08 WL action level. The <br />sample was taken prior to ventilation of the area and before <br />work began. The immediate follow-up samples listed as occurring on <br />the same day represent the radon daughter level after ventilation <br />and prior to the commencment of work. Post-ventilation levels were <br />below the action level and the area was cleared for work to begin. <br />
