(ulnraJo 80103 I'hunr. l tll it N60 151r: rna ~futixl~~nluo May 24, 1994 Earl White, President Basin Resources, Inc. 14300 Highway 12 Weston, CO 81091 Re: New Stipulation for Renewal of Permit No. C-81-013 Golden Eagle Mine Dear Mr. White: II~~ I )E PA RTM E NT (7F NATURAL 1>\ESOURCE~ a... e...... , i ...,. ~~~, ~~ •e~ h.n 111 I.~n~; As we have previously discussed, the Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG), Office of Mined Land Reclamation, Coal Program, will continue to recommend to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board) that Permit No. C-81-013 be renewed with the stipulations contained in our January 21 , 1994 recommendation for approval (enclosure) with the following proposed stipulations to which Basin Resources, Inc. has incorporated into the permit: Stioulation No. 72 Basin Resources shall update the surface ownership map for those areas in which undermining is anticipated during the permit term. Submittal to the Division of the updated map shall occur on or before July 31, October 31, January 31, and April 30, yearly. Stioulation No. 73 Basin Resources will maintain on file at the mine site proof of mailing of the public notices required pursuant to Rule 4.20.2. Stioulation No. 74 If the extracted thickness exceeds nine 19) vertical feet, Basin Resources will provide to the Division, as part of its semi-annual subsidence monitoring report, information showing any significant resultant differences in the area potentially subject to subsidence. The Structures Inventory Map (Map No. 16) shall be updated as necessary to reflect any such changes. Because Basin Resources has now incorporated the above stipulations (Nos. 72, 73, and 74) into its permit renewal application, DMG will not recommend them as stipulations to the Board.
