General Radio Model 1945 Community Noise Monitors were used to
perform the measurements. Calibration of the monitors was checked at
the beginning and end of the teat period.
The two measurement locations were:
1) 20 feet east of the excavated, southeastern corner of the
abandoned mine site on Lake Gulch Road: 6,000 feet south and
2,250 west of proposed cut atone, Phase I Quarry; 5,000 feet
south and 8,000 feet west of proposed aggregate, Phase I
Quarry, ae shown in Figure 1 (M1).
2) 10 feet north of existing access road off Castlewood Canyon
Road: 250 feet east and 1250 feet south of aggregate, Phase I
Quarry center, ae shown in Figure 1 (M2).
Tables 3 and 4 present the data for each measurement location. The
noise levels associated with the exceedance percentiles in the tables
are the levels that are exceeded X percent of the time.
