This strip miner could de-evalute the real estate value of
the adjoining land owners if these strip miners ere allowed to
strip mine in the EnRleville and Fishers Peak vicinity too. I
personally think that it would be very wrong if we the public
would allow these strip miners to sell land plots for builiing
of homes r_ipht in front of Fishers Peak to clutter up the un-
-spoiled beauty of this majestic monument. Aa far as I am con-
-corned, I personally think that by destroying the unspoiled
beauty end originality of Fishers Peax and EnQleville, Colorado
would be ea un-constitutional end sacrilegious ea tearing down
our beautiful Holy ~Prinity Church here in Trinidad which is
loved by ell of the community oi' Trinidad, or by burning the
Americian Flag whioh would definately infuriatb~•me being a
disabled veteran myself, 1 dont think that the general public
realizes that they can excerciae their right to vote against
this kind of situation, and 1 also thinx that the general
public is not conscious that they can vote under their const-
titutionel rights which gives them the right to vote under the
constitutional law provided for them under Public Protest.
If this issue is brought to public vote under the: ubl e`:
Protest law, I will be one of the first to vote in retaliation
of allowing strip mining in our our vicinity. So now that the
public is aware of the grave situation in our vicinity, l x111
leave to all of the public end people in higher offices to
resolve this problem for our community, and pray for the prea-
-ervation of these beautiful and irr-replacible landmarks.
~i'hank you.
4erald W.
