MINERALS, INC., BOND FORFEITURE HEARING <br />The Mined Land Reclamation Board ("the Board") revoked Permit No. C-037-81, <br />issued to G.E.L. Minerals, Inc. ("G.E.C."), on February 23, 1984. The Board <br />initiated hearings on March 23, 1984, to consider bond forfeiture of three <br />reclamation bonds posted by G.E.C. and one reclamation bond posted jointly by <br />G.E.C. and the Harrison Western Corporation for reclamation of the G.E.C. <br />Strip Mine. Pursuant to Rule 3.04.1(2) of the "Regulations for Coal Mining," <br />the Board voted to withold declaration of bond forfeiture contingent on the <br />submittal by G.E.C. of adequate information needed to complete reclamation of <br />the G.E.L. Strip Mine. Subsequent monthly Board hearings were conducted to <br />consider information presented by G.E.C. on April 26, May 24, June 28, <br />July 26, and August ZZ. <br />On September 27, 1984, the Mined Land Reclamation Board, having considered the <br />information and arguments Of G.E.C. Minerals, Inc. and the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division in the Bond Forfeiture Hearings, finds and orders as <br />follows: <br />The hearing is closed, the Board will withold declaration of bond <br />forfeiture. <br />2. G.E.C. Minerals, Inc., shall reclaim the G.E.C. Strip Mine in <br />accordance with the approved reclamation plan and timetable (see <br />Exhibit "A"). <br />3. G.E.C. Minerals, Inc., shall maintain the mine Site in compliance with <br />C.R.S. 34-33-120 and Rule 4 of the "Regulations for Coal Mining" <br />4. G.E.C. Minerals, Inc., shall submit reclamation reports describing the <br />reclamation progress. These shall be weekly, except durine the winter <br />months (December through March), when they shall be bi-mcnthly. <br />5. G.E.C. Minerals, Inc., shall not extract coal during the reclamation <br />activities. <br />6.
