Section II -Revisions to the Permit
Subsequent to the permit renewal on January 1, 1991, Peabody Western Coal Company has
submitted and a Division decision has been made for the following revisions:
Permit Revision No.l was received on November 13, 1990, and included a proposal to construct
Pond 005, Pond 009, Road G, and Road H, and to commence mining in the north block. The
revision was approved with conditions on September 4, 1991.
Technical Revision No. 10 was received on January 15, 1991, and proposed an increase in the
ponding capacity of Pond 006. The revision was approved on May 3, 1991.
Technical Revision No. 11 was submitted on Apri13, 1991. The revision replaced Minor Revision
IS which was denied since the proposal required submittal of a technical revision. The request
proposed an increase in the size of Topsoil Stockpile N, resulting in an increase in total mine
related disturbance. The revision was approved on May 3, 1991.
Technical Revision No. 12 was submitted on April 15, 1991, in response to Notice of Violation C-
91-001. The revision included proposed stabilization measures for Tie Across Haul Road Ditch 9.
The revision was approved May 3, 1991.
Technical Revision No. 13 was submitted on September 6, 1991, and included certifications for the
construction of Road F and the eastern section of the Mine Entrance Haul Road. The revision was
approved on November 1, 1991.
Technical Revision No. 14 was received on December 16, 1991, and included certifications for the
construction of Pond 006. The revision was approved on February 18, 1992.
Technical Revision No. 15 was received on February 3,. 1992. The revision requested
modifications to the proposed channel protection in the secondary spillway of Pond 009. The
revision was approved on April 28, 1992.
Technical Revision No. 16 was received on March 17, 1992, and included a response to Stipulation
17 placed on the permit when Permit Revision No. 1 was approved. The revision included
modified plans for the construction of Road G and Pond 005, and a decision to abandon plans to
construct Road H. The revision was approved with conditions on May 20, 1992.
Technical Revision No. 17 was received on July 20, 1992, and included certifications of the
construction of Pond 009. The revision was approved on October 23, 1992.
Technical Revision No. 18 was received on July 27, 1992, and proposed the relocation of culvert
F-3. The revision was approved on April 7, 1993.
