Cresson Project Phase IVc Construction Quality Assurance
Dear Mr. Roberts:
Golder Associates Inc. (Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase Nc Construction Quality
Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of September 5 through
September 11, 2004.
The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low
temperatures ranged from 35° F to 50° F, and highs ranged from 59° F to 79° F. Weather
observations were made on seven days of this seven-day reporting period.
Construction Svnopsis
Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase Nc
construction. Ames conducted Phase Nc construction activities on fo-~ur days of this seven-day
reporting period (September 7 through September 10, 2004). Poly-Flex conducted Phase Nc
construction activities on four days of this seven-day reporting period (September 7 through September
10, 2004).
Phase IVc
Ames continued limited Structural Fill (SF) cut to fill and slope re-contouring activities along the Phase
Nb /Phase Nc tie-in azea above the LOB.
Ames continued excavation and constmction of two Leak Detection Trenches (LDT) and their
respective extensions on the eastern portion of the Phase Nc VLF. Ames constructed approximately
150 feet of LDT during this reporting period.
Ames hauled, placed, and compacted Soil Liner Fill (SLF) material into the Phase Nc OSA, on the
Phase IVc 18 September 5-September 11, 2004 043-2170
