loaded 50 ton haul trucks. The road is constructed entirely with railroad ballast. The rough and
interlocking nature of the ballast makes it ideal as a road base and surface. The ballast surface
also contributes little to no sediment run-off when faced with a precipitation event. The road cuts
are laid back to greater than I.S: 1. If the area is not reclaimed before this fall, the disturbed, non-
surfaced areas will be seeded to help stabilize them until they are reclaimed.
Based on these observations, calculations and inspections the Temporary Truck Dump and Lay-
down area, I can certify that the Sediment Basin and Haul Road are in reasonable compliance with
the applicable sections of the CMLRB regulations and the approved permit documents,
(M.R.101).
Best Regards,
.William C.
