'95 Letter from Mr. Bill York-Feirn of MLRD furnishing partial transcript of board <br />hearing of 1anuary 25, 1995; remarks by Board members severely critical of <br />COM, Inc_ operation of the Gold Hill Mill. <br />20 Feb. '95 The COME submitted a five-page written Statement of Comments and Objections <br />to the Division of Minerals and Geology, consisting of an abbreviated review of <br />the application of COM, Inc. for a limited impact permit for the Gold Hill Mill. <br />It included a statement as to the possible illegality of permitting the mill as a <br />stand-alone operation in a Forestry Zone. <br />27 Mar. '95 Division of Minerals and Geology (Allen C. Sorenson) letter to Mr. Thames <br />Hartley of COM, Inc. stating the results of the DMG's second review of COM, <br />Ines permit application, including supplementary information submitted by COM, <br />Inc., and "... third party written comments....", presumably including those of <br />COME. This letter, which runs to eleven pages, includes an extended discussion <br />of relevant engineering and bonding issues, including instrumentation and on-site <br />verification and quality assurance. Many of these were raised in the COME letter <br />noted above. COM, Inc. has until May 1, 1995 to respond to the letter. <br />"Response' includes establishment of adequate freeboard in the tailings <br />impoundment. <br />
