Some of the coal was
surfaced mined by the company, however, the underground portion of the coal
lease was not disturbed. The area of the lease that has been mined has been
reclaimed and is covered by a reclamation bond under State Permit C-810-71.
Therefore, OS3'~tE has no objection to release of the lease bond or
relinquishment of the lease. Once the lease is relinquished £or C-16284, the
Federal mining plan approval will no longer be applicable for this lease area.
Should you have any questions or require additional information, please
contact Rick Williamson at 844-2915.
cc: OSMRE/AFO
CMLRD
Cyprus Western Coal Company
J
n /.
~i z~ 8~
~~ .
