The den adobe fireplnce flue shows a crack from the ceiling <br />to the mantle. The same wall alone the fireplnce and north wall <br />shows a crack from mantle to floor. Cracks hove developed on the <br />south wall of the den along the corner and above the door leading <br />to the porch. <br />The living room north and south walla and above the beamed <br />opening leading to the den show eracka from beam to ceiling. <br />The bedroom next to the living room ahowa cracks above the <br />doorways and corners and around windows. <br />The bathroom west of the bedroom ahowa cracking around the <br />windows and corners. <br />.~ <br />The kitchen and the northwest corner have minimal damage. <br />8y moving westward through the house, one will notice the size <br />and quantity of the cracks diminish. <br />Stucco ie showing signs of mayor movement, especially the <br />southeast corner and northeast corner. South wall ahowa peeling, <br />which ie a sign of moisture behind the stucco, paint or both. <br />The asst, north and south walla all show signs of crneking end <br />movement. <br />-~.... <br />Where roof metal panels meet parapet wall, tar hne been <br />applied. Every time movement occurs, another layer of plastic <br />cement or tar has been applied to atop leakage. <br />The distance from the railroad to the house, not to the garage, <br />is 600 linear feat. Underground mining Plat shows the mine has <br />mined cool 1/4" north of the railroad, using scale ae 1"=2,000 <br />feet, which would calculate to 400 feet and would put the coal <br />mining operation as close ae 200 feet from the Tatum residence. <br />Pages 118-122 of the Regulation of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board etatea the regulations for coal mining <br />operations. This aectlon denla with subsidence and also with <br />monuments to monitor subsidence. Monuments should have been <br />installed to monitor subsidence at least quarterly. As far as I <br />can tell, monuments are not in the vicinity of the Tatum <br />residence but are down river approxlmntely two miles according to <br />Plat. <br />Stipulation No. 28 etatea, "The permittee shall perform a survey <br />of the five potentially affected adobe constructed houses on a <br />quarterly basis. in conformance with the requirements of Rule <br />2.03.6(6)(C)(1)(D)."
