Mills: The staff has reviewed the responses to Stipulations 12, 14, 16 and 17 (your numbers and 2, 4, 6 and 7) submitted on January 20, 1987. The responses for stipulations 12, 14 and 17 are satisfactory and those stipulations will be terminated. Stipulation 16 reads as follows: WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PE'2MIT ISSUANCE, THE PERMITTEE 41iLL SURMIT A NEW MAP OR REVISE THE MINE PLAN MAP (MAP 23) TO SHOW THE LOCATION OF EXISTING AND PROPOSED SUBSIDENCE MONUMENTS. While the January 20, 1987, submittal did respond as requested by submitting a revised copy of Map 23, the scale is inadequate to clearly designate the location of subsidence monuments; Map 23 has a scale of 1"=1,000' and subsidence monuments can be as close as 50 feet apart. Therefore, in order to achieve the intent of the stipulation, the Division requests that TCC prepare and submit a map or maps similar to those commonly submitted as part of the periodic subsidence monitoring reports (scale of 1"=200'). The most recent subsidence monitoring map submittal can be used for existing monuments and future monument locations can be added to this map or other maps, as needed, to identify the extent of the monitoring plan.
