'. ..
area. A sample of the mill tailings will be analyzed an
the results will be submitted to the Mined Land Reclamatio
Division as soon as milling operations commence. If t
type of flotation reagents are changed during the li e of
the project, a i iona m in ~3mples will be
analyzed and the results forwarded to the Mined Land
Reclamation Division for comparison with the water samples
from the monitoring wells.
Q~{
6~~ ~\
Gold Hill Ventures will sample for the following /
parameters: field parameters of water level, pH, tempera- J
ture, electroconductivity or total dissolved solids; and
laboratory parameters of sulfate, iron, copper, lead, zinc,
silver, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium.

Prior to storing any decanted mill water in the Hazel m~
~
A. adit, Gold Hill Ventures will obtain preoperational Ovate a°
~
samples to define the baseline conditions which exist prio
~
to using the adit for mill water storage. The result ~
S`s
obtained from this preoperational monitoring will be submit U
ted to the Mined Land Reclamation Division as soon as
possible after they are returned from the laboratory.
The water monitoring samples will be reported on a
total or dissolved basis. In the case of total samples, the
sample will include the suspended material contained in the
sample, while the dissolved samples will be field filtered
through 0.45 micron filters prior to the addition of the /
sample preservative. Standard sampling procedures will be (/
followed in accordance with the instructions of the
receiving analytical laboratory in order to obtain proper
quality control of the water samples. Gold Hill Ventures
will also collect duplicate samples which will be sent to` \
The U.S. Bureau of Mines test well located closest to
the Cash mine access road has been selected for the purpose
of monitoring the ground water level and chemistry of the
water that will be stored in the Hazel A. adit. Gold Hill
Ventures will sample this monitoring well on a quarterly
basis for the following parameters: field parameters of
water level, pH, temperature, electroconductivity or total
dissolved solids; and laboratory parameters of sulfate,
iron, copper, lead, zinc, silver, mercury, arsenic, and
cadmium. If monitoring data indicates a significant loss of
water due to seepage from the Hazel A. adit, Gold Hill
Ventures will dewater the adit and line the underground
reservoir in a manner approved by the Mined Land Reclamation
Division.
3. Gold Hill Ventures will provide the Mined Lan ,h„~`~~
Reclamation Division with a construction certification o
the tailings impoundment structure by a qualified prof es r°"~
sional associated with the Denver Engineering Corporation of
separate laboratories for comparative analysis. d~
-4-
