Anew mining plan is included amplifying the plan (Exhibit B) contained in the original 1977 application. 5. The Wildlife, Water Resources, Vegetation and Soils information contained in the original 1977 application (Exhibit D) remains essentially unchanged. 6. The Reclamation Plan originally submitted, while necessarily more extensive, will be followed as you suggested in your December 16, 1977, letter following your December 8, 1977, site inspection. It is recognized that MLRB may desire to conduct a new site inspection and we are available to assist at your convenience and will be guided by your suggestions concerning any additional reclamation requirements. 7. The letter from the La Plata County Planning Commission submitted on September 21, 1977, remains effective and, therefore, requires no update. We are uncertain as to whether Mr. Oren R. Spillers, the previous operator, submitted an annual report of crushing operations during 1981 and 1982. As you know, La Plata. County updated the annual report in our letter of July 23, 1981. It indicated that no mining activities had take~t place since 1979. We have now determined that the fol:LOwing mining was accomplished during the last half of 1981: 1218 tons of pit run gravel was removed and 29,820 ton:: of gravel was crushed by Mr. Spillers. During 1982, 2(1,000 tons of 3/4" gravel, 4500 tons of 3" gravel, and 4000 Irons of 3/4" gravel was crushed for various consumers. Ple~ise consider this as an annual report if you do not alread}~ have one. La Plata County will submit the annual report for any operations occurring during 1983 as soon as our updated application and succession of operators requests , are approved.
