<br /> <br />the requirement in Section 1.8 regarding financial assurance under 6 CCR 1007-2, Part 1. <br />First, let me mention that there is a bill in the legislature (HB 94-1077) that will change <br />the effective date for financial assurance from April 9, 1994 to April 9, 1995. Concurrently, <br />I am in the process of amending our regulations with the date change in mind. But, after <br />reading the mine land statutes that you referenced in your letter, I concur with your <br />interpretation that the financial assurance requirements of Section 1.8 are met as long as <br />the bond is in place. <br />I hope that this has addressed your concerns in a satisfactory manner.
