We have completed a <br />drab version of the renewal findings document, but ceruin additional information will be required before <br />the document can be fimalized. Some of Uris information was requested in our letter of December 3, 1999. <br />Item 5 of that letter requested prrrtlit applilation text amendments to address the status of future <br />disturbance associated with CRDA-3, upper CDaI Canyon Drainage realignment, Pond 1 I expansion, and <br />CBA-2. Il is our understanding that these disturbances are no longer planned, with the possible exception <br />of expansion of CBA-2. Appropriate sections of the permit applipUon text should be amrnded as <br />necessary to identify the various disturbances and activities that are no longer proposed. The item also <br />requested clarification of narrative regarding reference area/reclaimed area comparisons for bond release. <br />Item 17 requested that narrative regarding permanent discharge capability evaluation be amended to <br />specify a lone 30, 21100, deadline for completion of the evaluation and submittal of revised <br />sealingJdischargehctndling plans. Note that various permit sections may need to be mod~ed once the long <br />term water handling plan is selected, including text on page 14-29, 14-30,17-0, and 19-7, and Figlue 14-2. <br />Item 19 identified a page s~lremcdnumbering problem, which needs to be corrected. <br />In Ure process of updating the landings document for the renewal, we have identified a few remaining <br />discrepancies, for whidr we request your assistance. <br />a) DLsarssion regarding rock replacement on page 14-IS (REV. 12/26/96) conflicts with <br />tarrative on pages 14-11 and 14-12, and Figtue 14-4 (3/22/99). Text should be amended as <br />appropriate. <br />b) Tab 14 Lisl otExhibits includes a "CMC Mining inn ..Topography Map", which is not <br />included in our permit volumes and which the cannot towte in our files. We would roqutxt <br />that you provide two additional copies oC Uds map. <br />c) Second paragaph of page 16-2 (NEW 3/1/96), and paragraph at bottom of page 21-3 and top <br />of page 21~ (NEW 3/1/96) erroneously refer to undeveloped and industrial postmining land <br />use, rather than wildlife habitat as specified in Tab I S. Narrative should be amended as <br />appropriate. <br />d) Page ZO-I 1 references a commitment for PCC to notify TG7'C "24 months prior W <br />wde[mirrirtg", and refers to a May 26, 1998, agreement between PCC and TGTC presented in <br />Appendix20-9. We have oa file a version of Appendix 20-9 submitted July 27,1998, which <br />includes an agreeatrnt between the two parties dated July 10, 1998. This version of the <br />
