Computer requirements to use the DAMS dceument imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called [?uickView will be copied to the CD a~ must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase ~ be in the D: d ve. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain tiles with the .tif extension. Them needs to be as image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing prograirn are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with lZtiickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with t2ttickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS dcea not support or endorse this software and the licensing and mgisuution are the user's responsibility. Them are many other programs that work as well, such as "~tl~g Preview,. and .`Imaging for Windows". Instructlons• 1. Lv9ert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the t2uickView setup program, bas also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QttickView program Instructions for manually installing QtiickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us.
