Essentially, you will be required to
label Transformer #2 (137.2 ppm PCB), at the substation, and Transformer #9 (83.1 ppm
PCB), at the crusher: It might be a good idea to label the other transformers not
contaminated, so that there is no question of contamination in the future. I do not know where
you can get stickers like the one depicted in the EPA regulations, but someone at the EPA
might be able to help you. The PCB specialists at the local EPA office are Dan Benson and
Tom Pauling. The address of the agency is:
United States Environmental Protection Agency
Region 8 ART-TS
999 18th Street, Suite 500
Denver CO 80202-2466
The telephone number is 293-1518.
If you have questions or are in need of additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,
~ug~-U-L~L185~,~2~'Y~
Susan L Morrison
Reclamation Specialist
Enclosure
SLM\122292B.WP
