Quinn
American Materials Inc.
P,O,Box 198
Glasgow,Kentucky 42141
Dear Mr. Quinn:
This office has reviewed your correspondence of December 9,
1982 concerning the proposed coal loading facility at Ludlow,
Colorado.
It is the opinion of this office that the town of Ludlow is
probably eligible to the National Register of Historic Places
under criterion "c". The site of the"Ludlow Massacre; where the
United Mine Workers of America Memorial now stands, is eligible
to the National Register under criterion "a". Neither propery
has been officially determined eligible or nominated to the
National Register.
However, it is the opinion of this office that the nature of
the proposed protect area is such that there will be no effect on
those characteristics which may qualify these properties for in-
clusion in the National Register.
If this office can be of further assistance, please contact the
Compliance Division at 866-3392.
ly,
hrt ur C.
