Also enclosed is a copy of the notice of zoning violati n mailed
to Mr. Bachli on this date.
I am requesting a check on the status of the State permits for this operation to e if [he
mining azeas shown on the map submitted by Mr. Bachli are permitted throng your
office. l have marked on the map those azeas which have not received approval from
Larimer County. Also enclosed is a copy of the map supplied by Mr. Bachli i 1987
showing the boundaries of the azea where mining activities could take place; t corners
of the areas were required to be permanently marked on-site and this map depi is the
location of the corner posts. Has your office conducted any on-site inspections of this
operation since our last conversation regazding this quarry? You had mention d that
there is a requirement to conduct an inspection within 30 days of receiving a c mplaint.
if you have done any investigations regarding this operation, I would appreciat hearing
from you about them.
I would also like to know the status of reclamation and whether or not all mini g areas
shown are covered by adequate reclamation bond. Of specific concern aze thos areas
that have not received Zoning Special Review approval from Lazimer County. If such
approval is not granted, is there adequate bond to ensure reclamation of those eas?
As you will note in the enclosed Zoning Violation Notice, the Boazd of County
Commissioners will be conducting a hearing on November 25 to discuss this vi lation.
At that hearing the Boazd will also consider revocation of the Special Review a provals
previously granted to Mr. Bachli.
~, PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
