Winters are rough
on Jumbo Mountain and my guess would be that Larry's "Cowboy Construction"
probably buried the waterline all of 6 inches deep. Less than 54 inches
deep in that neck of the woods could lead to significant freeze damage if
the line weren't properly drained before freeze. I also note the old "it
ain't adjudicated" argument - which may have merit...
original text
From McCannoS@COAL@DNRML, on 9/22/97 11:23 AM:
Jim - Subsequent to receipt of Mautz's latest complaint re: insufficient
flow in his cabin water line I requested that MCC conduct an investigation
to determine if subsidence could have caused the problem with the water
line. They submitted information to me indicating that there has been
basically no subsidence at the cabin site within the past year, therefore
the recent problem with the water line could not be the result of
subsidence. I am having a copy of their submittal made for you. Please
review it and let me know if you agree with their conclusions. I can then
take whatever next steps are in order. Thanks.
