An attempt to use photographic images to <br />monitor tree height growth failed because of low correlation between <br />observed 1979 tree heights and those taken from photos using a p,~rallax bar. <br />A continuing program of periodic monitoring via false color infrared aerial <br />photography is planned for every three years. <br />21 <br />
