Purs u~tnt to the requirement of the Colorado Mined Reclamation Act*
to inform counties and certain municipalities of Development and Extraction
(i.e. mining) Permit applications filed with this office, please know that
Pioneer Sand Company, Inc. has filed an
application for a Fermit to mine sand and gravel
at th<a following legal description: Section 27, T17S,R65W, approximately
15 miles S. of Co.Zora do Springs (Mi dl,•a y)
The applicant proposes to reclaim the site for Grassland .The
deadline for persons to file statements regarding this operation, or to
petition for a hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board to consider
the granting of a Permit is set by law; for information please call this
office.
Prior to Board approval the applicant's proposed mining and reclamation
plans must be in conformance with Zoca1 zoning ordinances, subdivision
regulations, or master plan. Pursuant to Sections 34-32-209(6) and
34-32-115(e) of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 39-32-ZOZ
et seq., please inform the Mined Land Reclamation Division as to the status
of the above captioned site with regard to conformance with your Zoca1
zoning laws. The attached sheet is provided so that you might answer us in
a convenient, quick manner.
If we do not hear from you before ,lulu 15, 1982 we will assume
that the above mining operation is in conformance with local zoning and Zand
use.
Also, the applicant is required to place a copy of the application for public
inspection with the Clerk of the county in which the proposed mine is situated.
It is the Board's understanding that the Act intends for the application to
be made= available for public review and conm7ent in an area close to the mine;
it is .rot intended that it be made a part of public record by recording.
The Board is tentatively scheduled to consider this application on July 21,22,
1982
