Mayor Bob Ensign called the meeting to order al 7:30 p.m. I <br />2. Roll call was taken: Ellen McMichael, Jim Larkin, Brian Strickland and Bob Ensigh. Debi <br />O'Brien came just after roll call, III <br />Employees: Nancy Comer-Baker, Kurt Fishinger, and Lcc Philips. <br />Others: Kar! and Caroline Grubbe, Doug Hill, Soon Hale, and Davc Farley. <br />3, Motion by Bob Ensign to approve the agenda. Second by Jim Larkin. <br />4, Motion by Bob Ensign to approve the minutes oC the November 1T" meeting. Second ~}• Brian <br />Strickland. <br />5. Expenditures were reviewed and found to be in order. <br />6. Citizen wmments: <br />Dave Farley with the Alma Placer was present to ask the Town Board if they had any co plaints ~'1 <br />w•ilh his operation. A citizen had complained to the Division oC Minerals and Geology cause I <br />Dave is in process of replacing an old water line. Dave doesn't wish his operation to ca sc any -~ <br />problems for the Town. Bob Ensign stated his only concern is the lighting. The fights a awful <br />bright. If they went down it would be good. Kurt Fishinger informed the Board that bot Davc <br />Farley and the property owner. Dennis Ducomon hate always worked with him and a has <br />experienced tro problems let alone all the Cavors that the Town asks from the placer. Dave a ked tf <br />there is ever a problem, please Icl him know. ~ <br />7. Reconvene as Alma Board otUtilities: <br />a. Utilities Report <br />1. Kurt Fishinger handed in his official resignation. He has taken a job worki g for <br />Colorado Springs monitoring Monlgomer}• Dam. Kurt oftercd to continue runni g the <br />water and sewer plants, do the weekly and monthly testing until such time that new <br />operator is properly certified. Discussion followed as to pa}• Cor a new operator and y for <br />K»rt in the interim. Doug Hill has expressed interest in the position. The job ha been <br />advertised in the Summit Dail}•. Only Doug Hill and Brad Serick have shown an in Brest. <br />Much discussion followed on how much to pay both to a new operator and to Kurt. <br />Debi O'Brien made a motion to hire Doug Hill at 521,000.01} annually, to pay Kurt <br />Fishinger 5800.00 monthly, and to reevaluate the pay for both after Doug receives is D <br />ceniGcalion. Doug will be required to be D ccrti~cd by March. Ellen McMi hacl <br />seconded. Roll Call. <br />Ellen McMichael -aye Debi O'Brien -aye Jim Larkin -aye <br />Brian Strickland -aye Bob Ensign -aye <br />Motion Carried. <br />Doug will give his notice tomorrow. The town will pay Cor his schooling since w are <br />requiring it. <br />2. Kuri informed the Board that the town hall lift station pump stems to be shot. Anew <br />pump will be about S1G00,00 - 51700.00. There is mane}• budgeted in the General and <br />for maintenance. The Board directed Kurt to fix it. <br />3. Kurt reported that the Ilow meter in the Sewer Plant is down and needs replaced. He will <br />get one, <br />b. Commissioner Report -Hob Ensign had nothing further to report. <br />8. Reconvene as Alma Board of Trustees <br />a Discussion of Insurance Renewal - 1999, Ellen McMichael presented a proposal to the board <br />Ihat would increase coverage to a blanker coverage for an additional 5500,00. <br />The board agreed to get blanket coverage and not add boiler insurance. <br />
