Information describing explosive storage and use of the Bear No. 3 Mine is <br />presented in Section 4.08 of the Bear No. 3 permit revision application. <br />No surface blasting will take place at tt-e Bear No. 3 Mine. Underground <br />blasting will take place as required by mining. No explosives will be stored at <br />the mine site. Explosives used at the mine will be brought on site as required. <br />VII. Disposal of Excess Spoil <br />A. Disposal of excess spoil will not occur at the Bear Coal Company site. <br />VIII. Coal Mine Waste Banks <br />A. There are no coal mine waste banks at the Bear Coal Company site. <br />IX. Coal Mine Waste <br />A. Information regarding coal processing and non~oal wastes at the Bear No. <br />• Mine is located in Sections 2.05.3 and 4.11, and Map 10 of the Bear No. <br />permit revision application. <br />B. Little or no coal processing waste is generated at the Bear No. 3 Mine. Any <br />coal mine waste is disposed at approved coal mine waste storage piles at <br />regional mines. Coal from the mine is trucked off site without any chemical or <br />physical tmztment. As part of Permit Revision No. 2, permission to continue <br />this practice has been given to Bear Coal Company via letter from the Somerset <br />Mining Company. T1ris letter is contained in the Permit Revision No. 2 file. <br />Non-coal wastes generated at the Bear No. 3 Mine are stored on site, and <br />periodically transported to the Delta County landfill for proper disposal. <br />Non-coal waste is contained in the aon-coal waste storage area prior to removal <br />to the landfill. No liquid wastes are placed in the storage area and material in <br />the area is stored in a manner which will prevent scattering of airborne debris. <br />X. Backfilling and Grading <br />A. Backfilling and grading information for the Bear No. 1 and 2 Mines is presented <br />in Section 2.05.3 and 2.05.4 of the Bear No. 1 and 2 permit application. <br />Backfilling and grading information for the Bear No. 3 Mine is located in <br />• Sections 2.05.3, 2.05.4 and 4.14, Map 12 and Map 13, of the Bear No. 3 <br />permit revision application. Rocky Mountain Geotechnical Company has <br />completed several stability analyses for Bear Coal Company. <br />24 <br />
