Upon final grading and topsoiling, the applicant proposes to reseed with adapted
grasses and forbs to achieve apost-mine land use of imgated cropland. Page
2.05.12R in the permit application details the seed mix to be used.
Since the permit azea for the Terror Creek Loadout is less than 40 acres in size (13.6
acres total), the revegetation success standazd is based on data collected in 1983 and
1984 from an area immediately west of the loadout. This area is shown on Map 4,
entitled Pre and Post Disturbance Land Use. The Division has determined that the
area of data collection is topographically and edaphically compazable to the disturbed
azea. Data submitted has been used by the Division to set a revegetation success
standazd for production in the reclaimed azea at 2,7001bs./acre (4.15.7(2)(d)(vi)).
XII. Post-Mining Land Use
A. The Division is proposing to approve apost-mining land use of irrigated cropland.
The land use meets the criteria of Rule 4.16.3.
XIII. Protection of Fish, Wildlife, and Related Environmental Values
A. The applicant has proposed the use of persistent pesticides to the site during
operation and reclamation activities at the site.
There is a plan in place to deal with noxious weeds, particulazly white top, that
appear at the Terror Creek Loadout. TCC will maintain records of herbicide use on
the property for inspection by Division personnel.
XN. Protection of Underpsound Minine
A. There are no current or proposed surface mining operations within or next to the
Terror Creek Loadout.
XV. Subsidence Control
A. This section does not apply to this operation, as Tertor Creek is a loadout. No
. mining has occurred or will occur.
XVI. Concurrent Surface and Underground Mining
A. This section does not apply to the Terror Creek Loadout.
XVII. Operations on Alluvial Vallev Floors
Identification of Alluvial Valley Floors
A. Terror Creek Company has identified an alluvial deposit extending approximately
one mile to the east (upstream) and three miles to the southwest (downstream) of the
permit azea along the North Fork of the Gunnison River (Map 2).
