<br />' • <br />Please make reference to the Financial Summary sheet included, <br />which indicates that of the amount mentioned above this claim has <br />either been paid through previous invoices or is included in the <br />retainage. The exception is an amount of $1,665.87, which seems <br />to be the amount which we are saying cannot be substantiated. <br />Item #2 Amount - 5180.00 <br />The contractor is claiming 2 hours of TD-25 dozer time to <br />reconfigure the Monarch Fan road to provide a 2% slope towards <br />the hill. <br />Task #8 calls for the road to be re-established with no mention <br />of slope. A Field Order dated June 7, 1994, and signed by both <br />parties, did indicate that a 2% grade was required for road work <br />that appears to be the Magpie Road. Because this was not clearly <br />stated under Task #8, the State has agreed to pay this claim. <br />Item #3 Amount - 5180.00 <br />The contractor is claiming 2 hours for re-grading an area just <br />off the road at the Magpie Division. <br />The claim here is for 2 hours of TD-25 dozer time, for which the <br />State paid for one hour. I have been told that this is adequate <br />for this work. Since there is no reference to this or objection <br />to this I have to believe that this issue has been resolved. <br />Item #4 Amount - 5315.00 <br />For the construction of three water bars off the south end of the <br />project. <br />The contractor built a road for their own convenience outside of <br />the project boundaries. The water bars that the State directed <br />the contractor to install, was done to correct damages caused by <br />the contractor, henceforth the contractor has no claim. <br />Item #5 Amount - 58.670.00 <br />The contractor is claiming that work had been completed prior to <br />
