Ms. Mautz stated that
Mountain Coal Company (MCC) has not fixed the damage to the Lone Pine cabin to the
satisfaction of Larry and Elaine Mautz. She stated that the previous concrete repairs to the cabin
floor and behind the toilet were inadequate and now cracking. She stated the cabin floor has fallen
another inch.
Ms. Mautz also stated that the road repairs above the mine fan were made by Larry and Elaine
Mautz, not MCC.
Ms. Mautz stated that they can hear the mine fan from their house.
Ms. Mautz stated that they are upset that the waste rock pile was located on their property.
I told Ms. Mautz that we will work to achieve resolution to those issues within our jurisdiction. I
asked Ms. Mautz to send a letter summarizing her concerns.
DAB/bjw
~BJ WU.1EM0. DAB
