Again, no sampling would <br />be required in the affected area as it is very limited in area. In <br />fact, finding enough, three acres or more, habitat for the reference <br />requires skill. <br />We understand that the mountain shrub community on the south-facing <br />slope will require sampling in areas to be disturbed by minor modifi- <br />cation and around existing disturbances. This data will be used to <br />locate a statistically representative reference. <br />You further stated that sampling in the aspen and conifer community <br />could occur along the access road. Data collected adjacent to dis- <br />turbances could serve as reference area data.
