Reclamation required was limited <br />to removal of the railroad loadout structure and conveyance system Vegetation of the <br />area was not required, due to the fact that erosion is being controlled by placement of <br />a gravel surface, and at the request of the landowner. The Yampa River sedimentation <br />pond also has been approved for permanent retention, in accordance with Rule 4.05.9(1). <br />III. OBSERVATIONS AND FINDINGS <br />The pre-mining land use of the facilities area was industrial, used in support of oil <br />production from an active well. G~rrently, the area continues as an oil production <br />operation in addition to a snowmobile touring site with an office trailer and parking area; <br />and a ranching operation, grazed by horses and cattle. The landowner also has created <br />numerous scrap metal, vehicle, and tire depositories in and adjacent to the permit area. <br />All structures and improvements currently on site have been approved for permanent <br />retention. Required reclamation, removal of the loadout structure and conveyance <br />system, has been completed. <br />Structures currently on site include: <br />1. guard shack <br />2. permit area entrance gate <br />3. office trailer <br />4. truck scales and scale house <br />5. weather station <br />6. Yampa River bridge <br />7. conveyor gallery <br />8. coal recovery tunnel (corrugated metal pipe and subgrade concrete structure) <br />9. coal recovery shack <br />10. ventilation fan for the coal recovery tunnel <br />11, water well house and two water wells <br />12. crusher pit <br />13. fuel tanks <br />14. power lines, poles, and transformers <br />15. shop buildings <br />16. gravel pad and culverts at loadout <br />17. access road from U.S. 40 to shop <br />18. Yampa River sedimentation pond <br />All structures listed are in fair condition at the time of this proposed release. Any other <br />structures or debris currently on site have been established as the property of the <br />landowner. <br />The area has been reclaimed as is to support the approved post-mine land uses presently <br />Meadows No. 1 Mine 5 Phase 111 Bond Rclcasc <br />
