Using a more realistic, lower value would lower the projected Sage Creek TDS value.
In summary, low flow values in Sage Creek (especially during the later summer months)
precludes its use as a significant source of imgation water. Therefore, the predicted Sage Creek
TDS value (which, using "worst-case" numbers, may be too high anyway) would have little
impact on overall crop production in the region.
Comment 6. 7be lifeof-nrpre PHC a~z<¢ia: submtral in resprnrse to the Drtrisiar's earlier rrgrrest urdrrdes
pro~etiau of salariry innrases in gnxoul and srnfam7euter cGre to rnmrrrg, as ~udl as n ferarm to fntential for nyveiial
dmruige in rtgaml to allrrrnal tn//ey flaon. 7be PHC nlso ncuLs to address d~ otlpr potcyrtial nrz/rrcts dire to nrnring in
t!~ Sage Gtx?k outer<l~al, vrdrrdingarry nrrpxcts to existing donestic uses ofwzter; mul ~ ofdisdrrl~l arr~ nmoff
artside tl~ penrrit amu.
Baseline da[a provided in Tab 7, Hydrologic Description, indicates that all geological units (i.e.,
ground water) monitored in the Yoast mitring area are unsuitable for domestic use (page 63).
Surface water, likewise, is unsuitable for domestic use (page 112). The Yoast PHC (Tab 17) also
addresses these data for ground water on page 40 and surface water on page 42.
