It appears that the East PibFan Road has been reestablished to a condition which is equal to or better than the previous condition, and that Southfield should be able to maintain the mad without expending effort beyond that which was previously needed. The areas noted above will be improved as soon as the AML Program can make funds available for the work. Please understand, however, that once these specific tasks are accomplished, additional maintenance will be the responsibility of either Energy Fuels or the landowner. The West Pit Road was also examined. This road was reestablished to facilitate pending West Pit reclamation work, and to alleviate any need to enter the West Pit Area through the Southfield facilities. The mad is generally graded to catch and convey sediment and water along the mad, either to the West Pit Area or to the East Pit drainage. Some minimal grading will be done one time, as final funding allows, along this mad to further ensure that typical runoff will not pass over the mad directly to the Magpie Channel. Subsequent maintenance will be the responsibility of the landowner. A small amount of sediment accumulation has occurred on the downslope side of the reestablished West Fit Road; however, during our June 2, 1994 onsite meeting, we agreed that this would occur to some degree. At this time, it does not appear that the Magpie Channel will be affected to any significant degree. We understand the concerns conveyed by Energy Fuels, and we are working to accommodate those conceros to the extent that we can. Likewise, we hope that F~ergy Fuels can appreciate the He are operating.
