Pursuant to rule <br /> 4.30.1(2), Peabody submits this notice of intention to temporarily tease operations. <br />' 4 <br />1( <br />R <br />l <br />30 2)(a) - al <br />C Extr <br />cti <br />n <br /> . <br />u <br />e <br />. o a <br />o <br /> On September 1, 1991 Nucla Mine uas reactivated fr om a previo us temporary cessation to <br />' allow final grading and soiling operations in Area 1 (see 1992 Temporary Cessation Plan, <br /> Exhibit 1). No coal has been recovered since this reopening. Coal recovery information <br />' for Areas 1 and 2 is presented in the previous temporary cessation document dated <br /> December 15, 1989. <br />' <br /> Rule 4.30.1(2)( h) - Reclamation Activities Completed <br /> Mining activiti es in Area 2 have been completed and the entire pit has been hoc kfilled, <br /> graded, soiled, and seeded with the permanent revegetation mix. Mining activities in <br /> Area 1 have been completed and the entire pit has been backfilled, graded, soiled, and <br />' seeded with an annual grain temporary cover crop (66.8 acres), the attached Exhibit 1, <br /> 1992 Temporary Cessation Plan, shows both reclamation areas. <br /> <br /> Rule 4.30.1(2)( 1) Ongoing Reclamation and Monitoring During Tempo rarv Cessation <br />' Grading. Final grading has been completed in Areas 1 and 2 as shown on Exhibit 1. <br />' Minimal grading is anticipated during [he period of temporary cessation.
