<br /> <br />AMENDMENT N0. 1 <br />HAWK'S NEST MINE WEST AREA RECLAMATION PROJECT <br />BID N0. RN-COAL-MINES-2 <br />1. Invitation and Bid Form <br />Item No. Move portal bench equipment to East Mine Area, per specs., <br />if required," is hereby deleted from the Bid. All equipment covered <br />under this bid item as specified in Section III.3 of the Special <br />Conditions has been completely removed from the project site. Bidders <br />are instructed to enter a zero (0) dollar amount for Item No. 3 on the <br />Invitation and Bid Form. <br />2. Special Conditions <br />Bid ino nformation - Time of Completion <br />e time o comp etion a owe or t is project is hereby extended an <br />additional 30 days to a total of 120 calendar days after receipt of the <br />Notice to Proceed. <br />Project Work Specifications <br />Section II.2.2.6. - Crus er Building Demolition <br />Portions of this structure and some adjacent items shown on drawing <br />sheets 13, 14, 15 and 16 of 30 have been removed from the project site <br />during the past few weeks. These items consist of the entire crusher <br />building corrugated sheet metal shell, doors, lower level storeroom walls <br />and door, main building structural steel framing, cyclone fencing and <br />posts around the fuel/lube stand and coal conveyor, and the underground <br />scoop or loader mining equipment on the west side of the building. The <br />upper level decking, supports and ladder to the electrical switchin_a room <br />are still in place, however the electrical switch boxes and support <br />stands have been removed from the upper level and placed in front of <br />Portal #3. The fuel/tube stand frame has been pushed over the bench <br />embankment and is presently situated near conveyor support tower #1. <br />Electrical utility lines attached to the building have been removed. The <br />dollar amount bid for demolition and removal of this structure shall be <br />based on the current condition of the structure and not as originally <br />depicted on the above referenced drawino sheets and on Exhibit 3A. <br />As an additional note, the roof bolter mining equipment situated between <br />the crusher building and Portal #3 is scheduled to be removed by the new <br />owner no later than November 10, 1989, thereby eliminating it from <br />consideration in the bid for structural demolition work. <br />Section III.7.2.6.10 - Fiber_alass Water Tank <br />T is tan depicted as eing intact on drawing sheets 14, 15, 16 and 17 <br />of 30 has been disconnected from its piping and tipped backward to rest <br />on the hill slope behind the tank. It is unknown if the tank is damaged. <br />Additionally, the corrugated sheet metal and plywood valve covers have <br />been disturbed. The dollar amount bid for demolition and removal of this <br />structure shall be based on the current condition of the structure and <br />not as originally depicted on the above referenced drawing sheets and on <br />Exhibit 3A. <br />
