Permit Number CO-0013, 12/82 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />The permittee is also authorized to conduct these limited activities: <br />1) vegetation sampling and monitoring, 2) fish and wildlife sampling, <br />monitoring, and mitigation, 3) ground, surface, and alluvial water <br />sampling and monitoring, 4) air sampling and monitoring, 5) <br />maintenance of perimeter markers, signs, and boundaries, 6) activities <br />related to security and safety of the operation, 7) developmental <br />drilling, and 8) cultural and historical resource sampling, on the <br />following described Federal lands: ~ C9i~~- ~-y~i. uo~a Go'>6~4 n,Jo <br />T. 5 N., R. 90 W., 6th P.M., NWl/4, W1/2, NE1/4NE1/4, sec. 5; and <br />PI1/2, N1/2S1/2, sec. 6. <br />T. 5 N., R. 91 W., 6th P.M., N1/2, SW1/4, W1/2SE1/4, NE1/4, sec. 1, <br />except that developmental drilling is not authorized in S1/2SW1/4 and <br />SW1/45E1/4. <br />T. 6 N., R. 90 W., 6th P.M., SW1/4, W1/4SE1/4, sec. 30; all of sec. <br />31; NW1 4NW1 4, S1 4NW1 4, SW1/4, SE1/4, and S1/2NE1/4, sec. 32, <br />except that developmental drilling is not authorized in sec. 30. <br />and to conduct surface and reclamation operations connected with mining on <br />• the foregoing described property subject to the conditions of the lease, <br />the approved mining and reclamation plan (MRP), and Colorado Slate permit <br />IiC-010-91, including all stipulations, and all other applicable <br />conditions, laws and regulations. <br />Sec. 3 This permit is issued for a term of 5 years commencing on the date the <br />permit is signed by the permittee, except that I:his permit will <br />terminate if the permittee has not begun the surface coal mining and <br />reclamation operations covered herein within 3 }ears of the date of <br />issuance. <br />Sec. 4 The permit rights may not be transferred, assigned, or sold without <br />the approval of the Director, OSM. Request for transfer, assignment, <br />or sale of permit rights must be done in accordance with 30 CFR 741.25. <br />Sec. 5 The permittee shall allow the authorized repres<:ntatives of the <br />Secretary, including, but not limited to, inspectors, fee compliance <br />officers, and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division without <br />advance notice or a search warrant, upon presentation of appropriate <br />credentials, and without delay to: <br />a. Have the rights of entry provided for in 30 CFR 840.12 and 942.13; <br />and, <br />b, Be accompanied by private persons for the purpose of conducting an <br />inspection in accordance with 30 CFR 942, when the inspection is in <br />response to an alleged violation reported by the private person. <br />
