P~aa;ial ge50~rr.e~'
Listed in the April and May Inspection Reports for Mine 1,2,3 and
Eckman Park are three compliance schedules: (1) Rills and gullies (2)
gully stabilization at Mine 3, and (3) completion of t'::e permanent ditch
around Overburden Stockpile d)1. Below is a listing of these concerns and
CYCC's responses.
83-4. A plan to stabilize rills and gullies greater than nine inches
deep, a demonstration that rifling and gullying is not excessive and is
consistent with the approved postmining land use or a combination of both
shall be submitted by June 15, 1983.
Response: As discussed between CYCC and representati~.•es of CMLRD, the
existing problems of rills and gullies are not exclusive to this mining
~'- operation. The CYCC proposes initially to leave the erosion area s alone
to determine if an acceptable amount of vegetation cover becomes -no. Submit a plan to stabilize the gully that has formed on the
regraded surface mine area by June 15, 1983.
Response: Prior to topsoil reapplication at Mine :' the area will undergo
a final spoil grading process. At that time the irrigation ditch halfway-Y10 mks+ ~
-'~,ay up the slope will be reestablished and t e spoil above the ditch regraded clone -t1v,
1~ so that water will have a dispersed flow instead of a concentrated flow. s-^v^'-~iD
Q-a~,.
82-14.
