Bald Eagles have historically been known to reside in areas adjacent to the
permit boundary, until just recently, when they have been observed hunting in non-active azeas
and/or native areas within the permit boundary. The Eagles have only been observed outside the
active mining operations and aze not in eminent danger from our operation. They are believed to
be only passing through the permit boundary during their hunting cycle and no nest structures
have been found inside the disturbance area. Precautions have been set in place to reduce the
likelihood of injuring or disturbing these threatened or endangered animals.
if you have any questions regazding this issue, please don't hesitate in contacting me at the phone
number above. -
Sincerely,
Tay Ton v
Environmental Engineer
Mtelope Mine • Colo~,~o Mine • Cortlero Rp o Mine • .,acohs Rs c^ M ~e • Sp, ~:~^•ee~ '/ r~e
A ~rb..^ .ice _.
