She formation is is the Opper Crecaceom age and is <br />Dart of the Bookcliffs coal field. She general structure is the Leaae area <br />is a aonoclinai structure dipping 2 to 5 degrees eo. the north-northeast. <br />There are four coal zones containing definable beds chat outcrop along the <br />face of the Bookeiiffs in Colorado. She highest is Che Carbonera Coal Zone. <br />From drill-hole data, the Carbonera bed is variable in ehickaesa and <br />quality over the Lease area and is not eeonomicaliy minable. About 60 feet <br />below is the Cameo Coal Zane where one or two beds are present. tJhea [here <br />are :+o beds, the iacerburdea is 30 feet or less, fie lover Cameo bed, the <br />Cameo B bed, iaediately overlies the Rolliae Sandstone. The Cameo B bed is <br />the only economically minable bed in the lease area and is presently wined <br />at the Roadside and Cameo Yines. The roof consists of shale, while the <br />floor hoe 0 to 6 inches of shale wad over 10 feet of sandstone. The <br />overburden ranges from 0 eo 2,100 feet. <br />She iaterburden between the Cameo Coal Zoae wad the base of the Palisade <br />Coal Zone ranges from 200 to 450 feet. Shere are no minable reserves. The <br />interval between the Palisade Coal Zoae and the Anchor Coal Zane i., <br />45 to 60 feet.
