Box 897 <br />Craig, CO 81626 <br />Re: Grassy Gap Mine, C-81-039, Maintenance Work and Debris Removal. <br />Dear Mr. George: <br />The Division is planning to conduct some maintenance work and debris removal from the Grassy Gap <br />Mine site. Please find a copy of the bid schedule as put out to contractors for work to be performed at the <br />Grassy Gap Mine. The main items to be conducted include removal of the tank, 8 foot dia. tires, metal <br />scrap tNo. 2 on enclosed map). The Division proposes to have several loads of gravel brought in to repair <br />rutting by rockfall slope (No. I on enclosed map). Grouting of the standpipe at pond 4 will be performed <br />(No. 3 on enclosed map). Construction of one or two water bars on road to pit 2/3 to direct flow from <br />springs and surface runoff off of the road. All work should be completed within a one week time frame. <br />Please call me if this will be problematic. We would like to see the work completed this fall, however if it <br />is necessary to postpone the work until the Spring on 1998, the Division is willing to work with you on the <br />timing of the work. <br />Sincerely, <br />~. <br />Janet .
