(WALSH) is pleased to submit this proposal for
the above-referenced project. WALSH will perform the tasks requested in the project description
dated August 22, 1995. WALSH's proposed scope of work follows:
Task I - Smnp[ing -WALSH will obtain samples of material from four drums and a composite soli
sample for analyses appropriate for disposal. The soil sample will be analyzed for metals and volatile
organic compounds using TCLP, and for total PCBs, The four drums will be composite and/or
individually sampled for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, flashpoiut, reactivity, pH, and the 8
RCRA metals by TCLP.
Task 2 -Disposal -WALSH will arrange for the re-packaging, if necessary, removal, transport, and
incineration of the drums and their contents using EnviroChem Services as a subcontractor. Material
will be handled and incinerated as if it were a hazardous waste; this will save time and money overall
in analytical costs.
Assumprio»s -This bid is based on information provided by the client and from awalk-through of
the properly. The bid assumes that one drum contains unknown liquids and three drums contain oily
liquids, and that the soil is determined by analytical data to be non-hazardous. If sludge is present in
the drums, an additional charge of $15.00 per inch of sludge, up to a maximum additional charge oC
5205 per drum, will be assessed. If solids are present in the drums, an additional price of $395 per
drum will be assessed. If soil analytical data reveal hazardous concentrations of analyzed compounds,
land£II disposal will not be allowed. Hazardous disposal costs were no[ determined for this proposal.
Please contact me at (970) 241-4636 if you have any questions. Thank you for considering WALSH.
Sincerely, ( ~~
~ ~~/
I
~~ ~i1/V~ ~" ~ [.
Edward M.
