If you will notice that Fishers <br />YeaL is proudly displayed in ttie center of the city end the <br />Las Animas County's vi'l~ici&1 Seal wherever you happen to see <br />it, therefore it clearly shows that F~isners Peak represents <br />both the City of Trinidad, and the County of Las Animas. <br />It would be a trajic loss to our community if these landmarks <br />were destroyed or scarred ce.;ause they have left awsome <br />evidence oi' the blood, sweat, ana the strug~yte I'or the survival <br />of our forefathers. Trail blazers, Indian fighters, gunfight- <br />-ters, and many famous figures like nit Carson, Bet Masterson, <br />Ril1y the nia, Black Jack ..etchum, ana many, many, more well <br />recognized real people that reell have lived right here in <br />our unique, and quaint little town of Trinidad with it's brick <br />lined streets, and it's antique buildings. These were the <br />people wno really tamed this lend where we live now in final <br />peace, because they definitely were the ones that fought hard <br />and relentlessly to conquer this land so that their next <br />generation would enjoy the freedom of the land. We also llae <br />our forefathers have to protect ttie land and the freedom for <br />
