To the best of
my knowledge and believe, all cut and fill slopes followed the
above criteria. we had hoped to survey all of these slopes, but
the deep snow cover still present at the mine has prohibited us
from achieving this. These slopes, as well as the entire road
itself, is inspected daily by Seneca personnel and there are no
apparent stability problems to date.
Modifications to Design
The only significant modification was the horizontal alignment of
the final 600 feet of road "B", which was shifted approximately
100 feet to the east. The original centerline in this section was
located in an existing drainage. we also stopped construction of
road "B" at this point since we were within the mining
disturbance area, this change was approved in MR-08. This field
adjustment was made in conformance with the Rules and Regulations
and the intent of the approved design plans and specifications as
approved by the Division.
Remaining Work to be Completed
The following list provides the Division with a description of
the remaining work which needs to be completed on both roads:
1. Topsoiling and revegetating the remaining slopes.
2. Repairing the road grade and widths following the deadhead
of the 650 dragline.
3. Followir~¢,;~e spring runoff, additional placement of riprap
or otb~,u,;~e~o&Y~s)n control measures in needed locations.
MAR 11 1997
Michael s'p'•{~ltavilk~`L Date
Colorado ••...,~,,
~S~ONA1.
